Get Up 4 Haiti Campaign

Last night, Wednesday August 18th, Anchor Lanes in Elkhart Lake hosted a fundraiser kick off for the ‘Get up 4 Haiti’ campaign. There were great raffles such as gift certificates to local restaurants, Road America Run Off tickets, Zoo passes, gift baskets, and much more. They sold sloppy joes and homemade bakery, amongst other items. A local Lakeland student, a Haitian native, played music with his band that kept everyone entertained all night long.
The day before the campaign kick-off, James Traz’, the Lakeland student musician from Haiti who has lost both of his parents and whose sister still lives in Haiti, was interviewed by 104.5 the Point. Listen to his interview here: http://new.wxerfm.com/blogs/post/bolson/2010/aug/17/info-get-haiti/
All funds raised throughout the campaign are going to help build an orphanage for the children of Haiti who’ve lost both their parents in the quake and are now left stranded. To continue the campaign, LESPWA International’s next event is going to be held at Anchor on Sunday, October 17th from 4-6pm. Together, they will be hosting a Bowl-A-Thon.
You can join the Bowl-A-Thon via one of two ways; either follow the link below, print off the pledge sheet, and have your friends and family donate a little something to the cause, or simply attend the event and pay a $30 entry fee. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, food, bowling, shoe rental, raffles, and fun! Get a group of friends together to bowl Sunday, October 17th from 4-6pm and support the children of Haiti whom desperately need our help, they can’t do any of this on their own.
